Biography

Semka Sokolović-Bertok was born on December 22, 1935, in Sarajevo, where she began her life during a transformative period in the Balkans. She would go on to become a respected figure in Croatian cinema and theater, dedicating her career to the dramatic arts. Her work contributed to the cultural landscape of the region during much of the twentieth century.

Throughout her professional life, Sokolović-Bertok established herself as a talented actress, bringing characters to life on both stage and screen. Her performances were part of the vibrant artistic community that flourished in the former Yugoslavia, leaving an impression on audiences and fellow performers alike.
