Biography

Archduke Karl Albrecht of Austria was born on December 18, 1888, in Pula, a port city in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. As a member of the Austrian imperial family, he was part of one of Europe’s most prominent dynasties during a transformative period in continental history.

Karl Albrecht’s life spanned more than six decades, during which he witnessed the rise and fall of empires and the profound changes that reshaped European society. His early years were marked by the privilege and responsibilities characteristic of his station, though details of his personal life and accomplishments remain largely private.

In his later years, Karl Albrecht made his home in Sweden, far from the imperial courts of his youth. He passed away on March 17, 1951, in Stockholm, at the age of sixty-two. His final resting place was the Catholic cemetery in the Northern cemetery of Solna Municipality, reflecting the spiritual and geographical dimensions of his long life across the continent.
