Árpád Orbán 1938 – 2008

Biography

Árpád Orbán was born on March 14, 1938, in Győr, Hungary, where he would spend much of his life. He became known as a footballer, pursuing a career in the sport during his years in Hungary. Throughout his life, Orbán remained connected to his hometown, which served as both his birthplace and the setting for the final chapter of his life.

Orbán passed away on April 26, 2008, at the age of seventy, in his native Győr. He was laid to rest at Révfalu cemetery, also in Győr, where his memory is preserved among his community. His life spanned seven decades of Hungarian history, and his contributions to Hungarian football remain part of the sporting heritage of his region.
