Choe Bu was born on January 1, 1454, in Naju, a region in what is now South Korea. He came of age during the Joseon Dynasty, a period of significant cultural and institutional development in Korean history. As a Korean official, Choe Bu dedicated his career to public service, contributing to the governance and administration of his nation during a formative era.

Throughout his life, Choe Bu served in various official capacities, participating in the institutional frameworks that shaped Joseon society. His work as a government official reflected the values and responsibilities expected of educated men of his time, who were trained in classical studies and civic duty.
