Biography

Fereydoun Farrokhzad was born on October 7, 1938, in Tehran, Iran, where he began a career that would touch the lives of many across his homeland and beyond. As an entertainer, he dedicated himself to the performing arts, bringing music and performance to audiences throughout his life. In his later years, Farrokhzad made his home in Bonn, Germany, where he continued his life away from his native country. On August 3, 1992, his life was tragically cut short by assassination.
