Henryk Tomaszewski revolutionized Polish visual culture as one of Europe’s most influential graphic designers. Born in Warsaw in 1914, he became the architect of a distinctive design language that shaped everything from political posters to commercial imagery across mid-20th-century Poland. His bold, innovative work didn’t just sell products or ideas—it defined an entire nation’s visual identity during a transformative period.

Working from his native Warsaw, Tomaszewski pushed the boundaries of what graphic design could achieve, blending modernist principles with uniquely Polish sensibilities. His influence rippled far beyond Poland’s borders, earning him recognition as a master craftsman who elevated poster design to fine art. For nearly a century, his fingerprints remained on Warsaw’s streets and Poland’s cultural consciousness, proof that great design transcends time.
