Luis Vernet (1791–1871) was a Merchant. Military and Civil Commander of the Falkland Islands and the Islands adjacent to Cape Horn. Born March 6, 1791 in Hamburg. Died January 17, 1871 in San Isidro. Interred at Recoleta Cemetery, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
