Prince Arnulf of Bavaria was born on July 6, 1852, in Munich, arriving into one of Europe’s most prominent royal families during a period of significant change across the continent. His life spanned the latter half of the nineteenth century, a time that witnessed the transformation of Bavaria from an independent kingdom into a state within the newly unified German Empire. As a member of the Wittelsbach dynasty, one of Europe’s oldest and most distinguished noble houses, Arnulf held a position of considerable importance within Bavarian society and court life.

Though details of his personal endeavors and public roles remain limited in historical records, Prince Arnulf’s life reflected the complexities and transitions of his era. He lived through decades of political, social, and cultural evolution that reshaped the map of Europe and the nature of monarchy itself. His presence within the Bavarian court connected him to the broader narrative of Central European history during this dynamic period.

Prince Arnulf passed away on November 12, 1907, in Venice, far from his native Munich. He was laid to rest at the Theatine Church in Munich, a place of deep spiritual and dynastic significance for the Bavarian royal family. His burial there ensured his final resting place remained within the heart of the kingdom he was born to serve.
