Biography
William Poole (1821–1855) was an American boxer and a founder of the street gang the Bowery Boys. Born July 24, 1821 in Sussex County. Died March 8, 1855 in New York City of pneumonia. Interred at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, United States.
